About This Spot

Walking into Twin Trees Restaurant, you immediately feel the quiet comfort of a long-standing neighborhood favorite—the kind of place where familiar faces meet warm smiles, and the hum of conversation feels like a friendly backdrop rather than a roar. The pace here is unhurried, inviting you to settle in and savor the passage of time with a meal that feels both nostalgic and thoughtfully crafted.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual ease and genuine care. Wood-paneled walls and classic Italian-American touches set the scene for a dinner that echoes family gatherings and stories shared over plates piled high with hearty, comforting food. Service is attentive without being intrusive, as if the staff are old friends who want to make sure you leave feeling fully satisfied, both in appetite and spirit.

At Twin Trees, the kitchen hums with a dedication to recipes that have been refined over the decades, bringing together flavors that resonate deeply with locals. Whether it’s the unpretentious brilliance of a well-made pepperoni pizza or the gentle richness of chicken riggies simmered in a richly spiced sauce, every bite feels like a small celebration of Italian-American culinary tradition. Salads and soups arrive like familiar handshakes, simple but thoughtful, providing a quiet counterpoint to the more robust mains.

There’s a special kind of warmth in knowing that many who dine here have carried the tradition through generations, returning again and again as part of their own family stories. It’s clear that Twin Trees has earned its place not just on Avery Avenue, but in the hearts of Syracuse locals who seek out honest food made with intention. The experience isn’t about flash—it’s about feeling at home, enjoying food that comforts and connects, and savoring moments that linger after the meal ends.

Our family's favorite place. Moved away 2 years ago, and this was our 1st visit when we came to visit. My father used to go here when he was a kid. Our favorite dish! Can't find anything like it.

This is a nice place. The booth we were in was very cramped for 3 people. With food, phones, drinks, etc it became a game of chess to fit everything and I was smushed up against my wife the whole time. Don't misunderstand. I love my wife immensely, but the elbow sword play was a little tedious. It looked clean enough. The food was okay. I got the antipasto salad and the French onion soup. The salad was okay. The lettuce didn't seem super fresh. The French onion soup wasn't my favorite. Super sweet and salty. The prices seemed a little high for the quality of the food but not outrageous. Was served our food but had to wait to ask server for silverware. She brought silverware but no napkins. Asked for napkins. Got them. All in, it was okay.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Has your Italian-American offerings to satisfy your fix, and they have steaks. Great service and good selection of delicious dinner entrees. I will be trying the pizza next.

Honestly the best pizza I've ever had. Just perfect. Real local spot but we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff.

Just had the best wings! We ordered crispy, medium buffalo wings and they were done perfectly. Of course we also enjoyed the pizza, we always do! I know they've had trouble with staffing. I hope this kitchen team stays!!! Sorry I didn't get a picture before we almost demolished the wings.

Great ma and pop Italian restaurant. It’s been here forever ( my favorite pizza since I was a little boy!). Great pizza. Fried ravioli was an awesome appetizer, the pasta fugli was delicious and my chicken riggies were excellent with just the right heat . Vodka sauce was excellent
